The BC Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations have declared a Level 4 Drought on Eastern Vancouver Island.

The government staff is urging all water users, including residents, industry, farmers & municipalities, to reduce water consumption as much as possible.
In British Columbia, there are 4 levels of drought, with level 4 being the driest. Water restrictions are usually put in place by your local municipal government, based on local water supply and provincial drought guidelines.
